A Jewelry Sales Associate’s primary responsibility is to assist customers in selecting and purchasing jewelry, while creating a positive, engaging, and personalized shopping experience. This role requires a passion for customer service, strong communication skills, and a keen eye for fashion and detail.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service

  • Warmly greet customers and build rapport
  • Understand individual customer needs and preferences
  • Provide tailored styling advice and product recommendations

Sales

  • Present and demonstrate jewelry pieces with professionalism and enthusiasm
  • Explain product features, materials, and benefits to aid purchasing decisions
  • Consistently achieve or exceed sales goals through effective selling techniques

Product Knowledge

  • Maintain a solid understanding of different jewelry types, gemstones, metals, and industry trends
  • Stay informed about new arrivals, collections, and promotions

Transaction Processing

  • Accurately handle sales transactions using the point-of-sale system
  • Issue receipts, handle returns or exchanges, and wrap purchases with care

Inventory Management

  • Assist in receiving, tagging, and displaying new merchandise
  • Conduct regular stock checks and report any discrepancies or damages

Store Maintenance

  • Ensure the store is clean, organized, and visually appealing
  • Keep jewelry cases and displays spotless and well-stocked

Additional Duties

  • Support store events, promotions, and special sales initiatives
  • Participate in team meetings and ongoing training sessions

Qualifications:

  • Previous retail or jewelry sales experience preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • High attention to detail and organization
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexible schedule, including Saturdays and holidays
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
